Nikon D100

Does anybody have any first hand experience of this camera please?
I like the 'on paper' specs, but have never used one. Some say the newer (and cheaper) D70 is a very close match to the D100.

Any views will be appreciated.

Thank you

Robert

I'm sorry I can't comment on the D100, but I can comment on the D70, as I recently purchased one. I am VERY impressed with this camera. I am pleased with the results, and find it easy to use. In fact, i'm just plain in love with it. Incidentally though, all the reviews I read stated that the D70 was at least as good as, if not better than the D100, and this did influence my descision to buy the D70.

Cool nikon D100

I have just purchased a d70 and found it incredibly easy to use,on researching the digital cameras i was led to believe the d100 could well be replaced in the near future.

Re: D100

Thanks for the replies and comments relating to the D100.
I have bought one and have it alongside my D70. I need both in my work.

I will post my comparisons as I gain more experience, meanwhile if you have any immediate questions relating to one or both these Nikons, I will try to answer. Thanks again

Thumbs up d70

I recently took some test shots on the d70 and had them printed at work on a durst lamda printer.Blown up to A3 they were as good as shots taken on negative film, everybody at work was very impressed with the results and now at least six people are thinking about buying one. This from people who've been in the printing and exhibition trade for over 10 years.

i use both the D100 and D200, D100 is my spare and the D200 is now my main workhorse, but in saying that i have nothing but the best for the D100 and if you want to get some idea of it use in today's market then check out the magazine Digital pro; as they gave it excellent comments- hopes this helps
